This is a question we hear often. Some argue that UK citizens also face financial hardship, loneliness, and childcare struggles, so why focus on supporting legal migrants with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF)?

Here’s the key difference: UK citizens, even if struggling, have a safety net. NRPF migrants don’t.

  • No Universal Credit.
  • No housing support
  • No child benefits.

Even when working, paying taxes, and contributing to society. It’s not about asking for special treatment. It’s about ensuring that people who are legally in the UK, working hard, and building lives here are not left with zero options if something goes wrong.
